In 2021, the corona pandemic forced us to think creatively. We wanted to continue the run but as something less anonymous that still sticks to the safety regulations. Based on these conditions, we quickly designed our own internal company run in 2021 with the aim to encourage the sporty spirit in us, reconnect with colleagues, and find a complement to our usually sedentary tasks.
Staburo supported an exploratory analysis of the mRNA-1273 Phase 1 Trial to assess the clinical utility of the quantitative Roche Elecsys® Anti-SARS-CoV-2 S assay (ACOV2S). Geometric mean concentrations as well as seroconversion over time was assessed overall and by dose and age group.
Since our team grew substantially, we searched, appointed, and enabled a bigger management team at Staburo, consisting of two heads (of departments) and six directors (focus on data science topics). Here, we want to give them a chance to talk about themselves and their passion! Therefore, we publish a mini news series about the management team members and will continue with our director director bioinformatics and data analytics, Dr. Janine Roy.
Nine Staburo colleagues recently took part in a full-day first aid course that was organized in collaboration with the company Springer Medicine publishing, who is a neighbor company in our Munich office building.
Two posters by Staburo members were presented at the PSI 2022 conference in Gothenburg, Sweden. The conference, regarded as the principal annual event of the statisticians in the pharmaceutical industry, took place as face-to-face event from 12th to 15th of June in the Gothia Towers.

We were very happy to get together last week for the first outside team event of the year, with 30 Staburo colleagues!
For several years, the managing directors were the main contact persons for clients, potential candidates, and employees. Staburo statisticians joined the DAGStat conference 2022 in Hamburg, March 28 to April 1, hosted at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.
Staburo supported the German pharmaceutical company, Dr. Pfleger Arzneimittel GmbH, Bamberg, during the whole lifecycle of the ‘ipalat® Hydro Med’ study in terms of protocol writing, randomisation, statistical analysis plan writing, statistical programming, report and publication writing.
The event was aimed at students with an interest in the field of Medical Statistics, for example within pharmaceuticals, healthcare and/or medical research.
