Staburo presents two posters @ PSI conference in Gothenburg

Two posters by Staburo members were presented at the PSI 2022 conference in Gothenburg, Sweden. The conference, regarded as the principal annual event of the statisticians in the pharmaceutical industry, took place as face-to-face event from 12th to 15th of June in the Gothia Towers.

High quality talks and poster presentations were accompanied by great social events and many opportunities to connect with colleagues.

The first poster was about a simulation study comparing different variance estimators and stratum weights in a Z-test for Kaplan-Meier rates at a fixed time. It was presented by Stephan Bischofberger, Biostatistician/Statistical Programmer, and it was based on joint work by Hannes Buchner, Gabriele Bleckert and Ling Zhu, as well as Rainer-Georg Göldner from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH & Co. KG and Bernhard Haller from TUM. This poster also won a poster award at the conference!

The second poster was a collaboration by Laura Schlieker, Director Biostatistics at Staburo GmbH, and Anke Schulz, Principal Statistician at Bayer AG, comparing different cut off determination methods based on real study data from a phase III oncology trial, as well as using simulated data. Laura had the opportunity to present the poster to the audience in a 1-min poster pitch!

The conference Gala Dinner on the waterside in Gothenburg provided delicious food and great entertainment by an Abba tribute band and a DJ, made all PSI conference attendees celebrate until the early morning.

Data analysis, clinical biostatistics and more.
