From June 8th to 11th, 2025, Staburo was excited to participate in the highly anticipated PSI Annual Conference, held in Wembley, London. This event, considered one of the most important gatherings in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, brought together a diverse community of professionals of this industry. With its focus on innovation and cutting-edge advancements in drug development and precision medicine, the conference provided an invaluable platform for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and exploring the future of healthcare.
Among the many highlights of the event was the presentation of a poster titled “Machine Learning in Precision Medicine: A Collaborative Approach.” This work was the result of a concerted effort by the Machine Learning workstream of the PSI Biomarker European Special Interest Group (ESIG), with Staburo’s Director Biostatistics Focus Area Biomarker, Laura Schlieker playing a central role in the presentation. The poster sparked engaging discussions on how machine learning technologies can be integrated into biomarker-driven strategies to accelerate the development of personalized treatments. The presentation was met with great enthusiasm and was honoured with one of the four Best Poster awards, recognizing the significance of the work in advancing the field.
The conference also served as a valuable opportunity for the members of the Biomarker ESIG to come together in person, strengthening existing partnerships and opening the door to new collaborations.
