Staburo GmbH wants to thank everyone who joined the annual APF meeting 2024 on November 29, 2024, in Munich.

From June 16-19, our Staburo colleagues Markus Waser, Yesilda Balavarca, Laura Schlieker, Hannes Buchner and Rebecca Freudling attended an enlightening PSI conference at the Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam, covering topics like Bayesian Borrowing, Estimands, and Biomarkers ESIG. The presentation on “Neurodiversity at Work” and its panel discussion on Tuesday were particularly impactful.

The PSI Conference is a premier event for statisticians and quantitative scientists involved in drug development and healthcare. This year’s conference is expected to draw between 350 and 450 experts from industry, academia, and regulatory agencies worldwide.

Our two colleagues Kathi Künnemann and Ulrike Fischer, both Senior Disclosure Managers and Medical Writers, attended the EMWA conference 2024 in Valencia. It was a truly enriching experience not only for its professional and educational content but also for its warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Imagine you are tasked with designing a phase II dose finding study to come up with a suitable dose for phase III. To accomplish this, the invited talk by Gabriele Bleckert from Staburo GmbH at the 9th German Pharm-Tox Summit in Munich on 14 March 2024 within the AGAH session gave good directions.

We haven’t announced it, but since mid of 2023, Staburo is a very proud member of the BVMA (Bundesverband Medizinischer Auftragsinstitute). We are very happy to be one of the 50 member companies and to join this diverse and highly qualified network. We look forward to exciting exchanges, to events and options to share our expertise and to learn from each other.

A couple of weeks ago, Staburo’s Head of Biostatistics and Managing Director, Hannes Buchner, took the opportunity to share insights from the research project titled “Deriving Interpretable Thresholds for Variable Importance in Random Forests by Permutation” at the monthly meeting of the PSI Biomarkers European Special Interest Group (SIG).

A few days ago – we from Staburo GmbH, Hannes Buchner, Stephan Bischofberger, Gabriele Bleckert, Sarah Musiol, Jiali Lin – joined the annual APF meeting in November: It all started with a fantastic get-together on Thursday evening at the Grohe Brauhaus in Darmstadt. We had a great evening and lots of networking opportunities in this location with joining so many participants from our industry.

On Tuesday, 14th November 2023, the Staburo team comprising Hannes Buchner, Laura Schlieker and Sarah Mwiberi Juckel attended the 14th European Statistical Forum held in Munich, Germany. The conference was organised by life science academy and attracted participants from both academia and industry all over Europe.

Staburo’s Managing Director Roland Stieger joined the BIO-Europe two weeks ago and enjoyed the great networking opportunities of this partnering conference with over 5000 delegates!

In addition to several one-on-one meetings, in which Roland discussed data science challenges of potential partners, we were very happy to have our brand and company information shared at the Bavarian booth, thanks to Bio-M.
